It’s almost that time over year again! No, not summer but the next best thing: Halifax Burger Week! The Coast knows the best way to help Haligonians get through the final days of winter is by warming their hearts and stomachs with mouthwatering burgers! From bacon jam cheeseburgers and lamb and mint pesto burgers to peanut butter bacon vegan burgers and mac n’ cheese burgers, there really is a burger to fit everyone’s tastes.

Halifax Ribfest is a fun-filled food festival hosted right on the Halifax Waterfront. With a variety of award-winning ribbers, and tons of mouth-watering foods, it’s a guaranteed saucy good time!

Who doesn’t love a delicious well cooked meal on wheels? This year, be sure to head to one of The Coast’s Food Truck Parties to indulge in some of Halifax’s top street eats. Experience a range of culinary dishes ranging from Canadian style comfort foods, and seafood to tacos, and barbecue. And don’t worry – of course there will be sweet treats as well!
When: June 15 and September 14, 2017
Important Notes: Entry is $2 per adult, but kids under 12 are free. The Food Truck Parties are cash only and there are usually multiple breweries on site!
Yes, we know… “all-you-can-eat oysters” sounds a lot like it could be some Nova Scotian folklore, too good to be true. Luckily, all-you-can-eat oysters are very real. Halifax Oyster Festival is a three-hour event where more than 15 producers shuck while you slurp down as many oysters as you can. This is a Halifax event you won’t want to miss.

Devour! The Food Film Fest is the world’s largest festival focused on celebrating food, wine and film. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Annapolis Valley in the town of Wolfville, only an hour drive from Downtown Halifax, it’s the perfect event to celebrate everything food and film.
