Tucked into an old building on a tight corner at the end of Barrington Street, it would be easy to drive right by this place, but trust me, you’re going to want to stop! Boneheads offers a huge selection of delicious meaty treats, including ribs, pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage and BBQ sandwiches.
Mouth-watering sides include traditional southern staples such as cornbread, chili, mac and cheese, and dirty rice, not to mention some less traditional choices such as “white trash fries” (BBQ dusted fries topped with gravy), and “ABT’s”, or “Atomic Buffalo Turds”, aka bacon wrapped jalapenos glazed with BBQ sauce and stuffed with spiced cream cheese and sausage!

At this family-friendly place in Dartmouth Crossing, they offer some great daily deals, including a free kid’s entrée on Mondays and all-you-can-eat ribs with Texas-style brisket for $2 extra on Wednesday and Sunday respectively.
Their fried corn-on-the-cob with garlic butter is a delicious and unique side, and they have plenty of options for the non-meat lover also, including smoked salmon fillets, salads and stews.
The highlights on the menu of this Eastern Passage restaurant are the roasted chicken and the slow-cooked rib dinners. Depending on the size of your appetite, you can order anything from a ¼ chicken meal, to a half-rack of ribs with 10 chicken wings!
Prices are very reasonable so you can easily feed a family of four for under $50. To finish of the meal with a treat try one of their ice cream milkshakes! They are a creamy counterpoint to all of those rich and sticky wings (I would personally recommend caramel Skor).
At this restaurant, the grill comes to you – literally! Tables with hot grills built right into them mean you can self-serve your BBQ goodness. Order several different meats (pork belly is a popular favourite), some pickled veggies, fiery kimchi, or even a large hot pot and wait for the spices and smoke to light up your taste buds.
The large portions and variety make it a great place to visit with a group and enjoy some meaty conversation with dinner.
This is a Bayers Lake chain restaurant, which is normally not my first choice, but their food is very tasty. Obviously many agree because it is a busy spot (a 15-20 minute wait for a table is common) so visiting during non-peak times is recommended.
The KAPOW! sauce that comes on the side of many items is a tangy and creamy mixture of garlic, Thai chili, cilantro and lime juice. Their menu is full of many meaty, juicy southwestern choices to slather that sauce on, including ribs, steak, burgers and fajitas.
Expect to take a doggie bag home because these portions are huge.
